Celebrate Martin Luther King Jr.
Monday, January 16, 2023
10:00 am – 5:00 pm
Join us to celebrate the life and legacy of civil rights leader Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. through interactive performances, protest marches, community art programs, and volunteer projects!
Each day features shadow puppet performances and puppet-making with Nehprii Amenii, poster-making and protest marching with Brooklyn-based musician Fyütch, and the creation of a community dream cloud in BCM’s ColorLab art studio.
Plus on Monday, Jan. 16, join us for a special volunteer project led by non-profit Repair the World. Families will give back by packing diapers and baby essentials that will be donated to Little Essentials, a Brooklyn-based non-profit that offers at-risk families living in poverty urgently needed children’s supplies and parenting education. This project is made possible by the generous support of UJA-Federation of NY.
