Dear Friends of Brooklyn Children’s Museum,

I am writing to share some news: after three wonderful years of working in Brooklyn Bridge Park (BBP), Brooklyn Children’s Museum (BCM) will be closing SPARK, its satellite space at One John Street. SPARK’s last day of operations was August 30, 2019.

Working in and with Brooklyn Bridge Park has been a terrific experience for BCM. We’ve deeply enjoyed meeting and engaging with the community of families who use the Park. Earlier this year, Brooklyn Children’s Museum launched a strategic planning process focused on building new exhibits and expanding programming at our historic Crown Heights location. Out of that process, the Museum committed to consolidating its resources in Central Brooklyn. Over the next year, we look forward to sharing more about new exhibit developments in Crown Heights as they unfold.

We know that many of your families have valued and loved our classes and drop-in play at SPARK. We encourage you to come visit our main location at 145 Brooklyn Avenue. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to email us directly at SPARK@brooklynkids.org. Someone will return your message within 48 hours. In the meantime, thank you so much for supporting Brooklyn Children’s Museum and SPARK. We hope to see you in Crown Heights soon.

Best regards,

Stephanie Hill Wilchfort
