How do you celebrate the changing seasons? Do you eat harvest foods in the fall or plant new seeds in the spring? Join us as we mark each season with a new festival series: learn about food justice in the fall, uncover the history of Brooklyn Children’s Museum in the winter, experience the natural world in the spring, and enjoy art from around the world in the summer!
Food Justice Festival
Saturday, November 24 – Sunday, November 25, 2018
In the fall, families and friends across America gather to celebrate the harvest and eat lots of delicious food! However, sometimes individuals and communities have a hard time getting the food they need. That’s why we are inviting everyone to join us this fall as we learn about food justice- the belief that everyone deserves access to fresh and healthy foods! Contribute to our canned food drive, write to an elected official to promote the importance of healthy eating, and learn how to make your own healthy foods like fresh bread and pickles, which can be preserved throughout the fall and winter!
Monday, February 18 – Tuesday, February 19, 2019
Founded in 1899, Brooklyn Children’s Museum is the oldest children’s museum in the world! Join us this winter as we travel back in time to experience the history of our museum and community. Hold 100 year-old artifacts, play games from the turn of the century, and learn what is was like to be a kid throughout history. End the weekend with Brooklyn Children’s Museum’s 120th birthday party!
Friday, April 19 – Friday, April 26, 2019
The snow has melted, the sun is shining bright, and spring is here to bring the world back to life after a long winter! Join us this spring as we welcome the new season through a celebration of nature and the environment! Over seven days of learning, art, and fun, families will have the opportunity to interact with live animals, hold objects from our natural science collection, plant seeds, and more!
Celebrate the Arts Festival
