Crown Sounds: Family Concert Series

Saturday, October 1 – Saturday, October 22
Saturday evenings in October

Join us for our 2nd annual family music concert series featuring Black female artists from the Grammy-nominated album All One Tribe. Taking place over four Saturdays in October, each performance features an artist from 1 Tribe Collective’s debut album, which was nominated for this year’s “Best Children’s Album.”

Performances take place 5:30 pm–6:30 pm.

The Magic Jones

Saturday, October 1

Sisters Alexis Jones and Arin Jackson formed the children’s music duo The Magic Jones after recognizing a lack of diverse representation in the genre. They bring R&B twists to classic lullabies and nursery rhymes to make young children feel seen.

Kymberly Stewart

Saturday, October 8

Kymberly Stewart is an early childhood educator who uses music to create dynamic content for young students. She’s performed on America’s Got Talent and uses her soundboard to imbue her songs with jazz, gospel and soulful arrangements.

Ms. Niki

Saturday, October 15

Nicole Addison is a classically trained singer who has used her experience to create musical theater programs in schools where she’s taught music education. She’s made it her mission to use music and dance to educate children outside of the classroom.

Saturday, October 22

Cheri Moon has dipped her toes in music for most of her life. As Snooknuk, she creates affirming music for children to understand that the differences between us should be celebrated and not used to ostracize one another.
