This year Brooklyn Children’s Museum is celebrating its 15th annual Kwanzaa celebration, presented in partnership with Brooklyn-based Asase Yaa Cultural Arts Foundation.
Join us on the third day of Celebrate Kwanzaa as we travel to Nashville of the 1960s to discover how its culture inspired Kwanzaa as we know it today. Featuring music by the Brooklyn United Marching Band, jazz dance classes, how-to cooking demos of Nashville hot chicken, and child-accessible theatrical readings of Lorraine Hansberry’s biography.
