Untold Stories
What are the untold stories of Black history? This program is tied to the exhibit Play It By Ear and is offered from February to May 2005.

Brooklyn’s World
Students become world travelers without leaving Brooklyn. They explore the concept of a neighborhood and meet immigrants from China, Mexico, Guyana, Lebanon, Trinidad, Senegal, and other countries around the world. While exploring the benefits of living in a global community, students study a map, investigate cultural objects, and discuss American heritage.

Artifacts and the Environment
What can be made from shells, feathers, or a piece of wood? Students examine how various cultures use natural materials to create meaningful and functional objects. They learn how the environment impacts their life and how people affect the environment.
