Pattern Wizardry is a hands-on object-based exhibit designed to
encourage children's inquiry about their world through investigating how
patterns organize and enrich their lives.
Pattern Wizardry was developed by Brooklyn Children's Museum for the Youth Museum Exhibit Collaborative (YMEC) with funding from the National Science Foundation. It features objects selected from the Museum's collection of 27,000 artifacts. The exhibit circulates among members of YMEC through 2005 and is available for rent thereafter. Supplemental materials to the exhibition include a user manual - detailing programming, marketing strategies, and exhibition installation and maintenance - an object-based curriculum kit and this website.
