Although there are many kinds of spirals, they all wrap around a fixed
point at a changing distance. Two of the most common spirals are the
Archimedean spiral and the golden spiral.
Spirals are found in manmade and natural objects, such as: spider webs, nautilus shells, watch springs, woven baskets, and coils of rope. Many plants and animals grow in spiral patterns. |
