A master percussionist and virtuoso improviser, inspired by the peculiar traditions of Gullah-Geechee (the oldest African derived culture in America), presents, Shout, Juba, and Jive! - a hands-on music and movement program delivered in the DRUMFOLK tradition of the Georgia/South Carolina Sea Islands. Pleasant's rhythm effect vocals and drum-voice techniques have been featured in numerous theatrical and broadcast programs including: Nickelodeon, Noggin, Disney Channel, Reading Rainbow, and others.
