      Kachinas are seen as spirit beings or ancestors of many Native Americans in the Southwest. Each is thought to have specific powers related to a particular thing, such as corn, health, thunderstorms, or humor. Come hear stories of some of the kachina ceremonies, see kachina dolls from the Museum’s collection, and create your own kachina doll to keep!
