What’s Included

Our standard rental fees are based on a three-hour event, with one hour of set-up and one hour breakdown.  Fees include:

	•	Planning and coordination services in advance of your event
	•	An event manager, maintenance staff, and security personnel during your event
	•	Lectern and four to six 6-foot tables (no linens)

If your audiovisual needs exceed the equipment available through the Museum, we are more than happy to refer you to several reliable companies.

Food, furniture, linens, china, flatware, and service items are not included in the price of the space rental. These may be arranged through our primary, non-exclusive, in-house caterer. 

Catering

The Museum’s in-house caterer offers full-service catering with a wide variety of menu selections and service styles, including continental breakfast, sandwiches and food platters, buffets and elegant receptions. They can customize a menu that best suits your event needs and budget. If you’d like to use an outside catering group, please discuss your plans with our Director of Visitor Services as you plan your event.

Please note that in order to preserve the Museum’s exhibits and collection pieces we require a certain number of highboy tables per attendee to be used during events that include food served in exhibit spaces.

Looking to add a little more life to your celebration or gathering?

Arrange to have our educators provide an exotic-animal visit—snakes, lizards, dragons or other intriguing living specimens!

Perhaps you are looking for musical entertainment to help set the mood of your reception; we can recommend a number of musical ensembles or DJs to suit your style.

The Museum also can help you make connections with unique performing artists or children’s entertainers, including face painters, balloon artists, magicians, story tellers, puppeteers, and more!
