Brooklyn Children’s Museum’s traveling exhibitions are based on the premise that children learn best through active, engaging, self-directed experiences that support peer-to-peer and inter-generational dialog.

Exhibitions are designed to both challenge and nurture visitors across a range of ages, abilities, and learning styles. Components are intuitive and flexible, inviting multiple paths of exploration and multiple outcomes.

Traveling exhibitions include objects from the Museum’s collection that support learning objectives and spark memorable and meaningful conversations.

Exhibition hosting agreements include:

    •  A detailed User Manual, including explicit set-up and packing diagrams
   •  Education and Programming Guides
   •  Marketing materials to support the production of banners, postcards, and advertisements
   •  On-call technical support and troubleshooting
   •  Shipping and logistics coordination

What other museums are saying about traveling exhibitions from Brooklyn Children's Museum:

“Primarily, we were looking to raise exhibitions and programs to a higher level, and we feel Japan and Nature and our related programming did that. We were also looking to learn from a cultural pro, Brooklyn Children’s Museum, and we feel that happened too.”
—Suzanne P. Olson, Executive Director, The Children’s Museum of Maine, Portland, Maine

“This is a truly remarkable exhibit. The visitor response to it has been overwhelmingly positive, and our staff has loved hosting it. Thanks to . . . everyone at Brooklyn Children’s Museum for all of the hard work that you put into Pattern Wizardry to make it a complete exhibit.”
—Senofer Stead, Traveling Exhibits Supervisor, Boston Children’s Museum, Boston, Mass.

Pattern Wizardry was a wonderful success, educating children of all ages using national elementary standards in math, science, and visual arts . . .”
—Mindy Shrago, Executive Director, Young At Art, Davie, Fla.
