Commons Theater
Occupancy: 150The Commons Theater serves as the Museum's main performance and meeting space. Large, carpeted steps provide a comfortable place for people to spread out. The descending seating area faces an open performance space and can be set up with chairs or tables. The Commons enjoys easy access to kitchen facilities, a cargo entrance, and bathrooms. It can be used for all types of gatherings including meetings, workshops, performances, weddings, and public forums.

Rooftop Theater
Occupancy: 300This open-air theater offers a birds-eye view of brownstone neighborhoods and the lush treetops of Brower Park. A whale-shaped wall serves as a playful backdrop to the outdoor stage. The flat performance area faces bleachers and a picnic space. It's great for performances, weddings, and warm weather community events.

Tank Theater
Occupancy: 60This cavernous corn oil tank was shipped to the Museum from the Midwest. Architects transformed it into a small theater and equipped it with a movie screen and audiovisual equipment. Carpeted steps overlook a small presentation space. It's good for films, workshops, and small group gatherings.

The Courtyard
Occupancy: 100A sunken courtyard sits below the grassy ground level behind the Museum. It's open to the sky yet tucked away from the hustle and bustle of Brooklyn streets. A bordering glass wall looks on to the colorful galleries within. It's nice for weddings or warm weather community events.
